Sydney Nightclubs

Explore the vibrant Sydney City to find a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. At Chinese Laundry you can party in one of three club rooms playing house, drum and bass, electro, techno and hip-hop tracks from standout Australian and international artists. Alternatively, enjoy the glitz and glamour of The Ivy, with a reputation for being an urban playground for grown-ups.

One22 is also a popular institution for those who want to cut loose on the dance floor to house and techno beats. For a more relaxed vibe, the cosmopolitan kitsch and granny glamour of Grandma’s Bar holds unique appeal with its tiki decor, colourful cocktails and low-fi groove.

Just east of the CBD, great tunes are also on offer at Club77 in Kings Cross. With comfy booths and the 40-seat bar that winds around the club, enjoy a meal, hit the dance floor or simply find a comfortable bar stool. This refurbished venue also has a great Eastern European-inspired menu.

At the Oxford Art Factory in nearby Darlinghurst, you can watch live music and performance art from leading national and international artists.

The Marble Bar is a long-standing Sydney favourite, with live music and opulent Victorian-style decor; you’ll find it just beneath the Hilton Hotel on George Street.

Marrickville is home to a hidden gem called The Camelot Lounge. This boutique venue has a great atmosphere and offers an eclectic mix of comedy and live music, including jazz and world music.

When you are out and about stay safe and make sure you take note of NSW’s alcohol laws. Many licensed venues in the city will not admit patrons after 1.30 am, with last drinks no later than 3.00 am.
