Horseriding in Centennial Parklands is great fun for all ages and experience levels. You'll love the beautiful oasis in Sydney's east with its ponds, trees and fields. Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre has five riding schools and all offer one-hour guided rides in the park. For more advanced riders, tuition is available in dressage and showjumping.

Horseriding in Sydney for everyone

If you've never been on a horse before, don't worry. All horseriding centres in Sydney have well-trained horses and ponies for young beginners. Take a guided trail ride at the Sydney Trail Riding Centre, less than an hour by car from the city centre, or learn the basics as you ride around the beautiful Centennial Parklands with an experienced guide from the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre.

Children who love horses will be delighted in Sydney. For the under-fives, led pony rides are available at most horseriding schools. Older kids, whether beginners or more experienced, can have a lesson, trail ride and even a birthday party at Sydney's Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre or an hour from Sydney at a family venue such as Valley View Park at Grose Vale, in the Hawkesbury. You can also stay at Valley View in a log cabin.

Pony camps are available during school holidays, or enjoy a family day out at the Golden Ridge Animal Farm, where kids can have a pony ride, feed lambs and goats, and even milk a cow.
