Campbelltown Arts Centre celebrates a striking contemporary artistic program, with exhibitions embracing various styles and forms. The permanent collection is mostly post-1950 and includes works by Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Guan Wei, to name just two of the many famous artists.

Stroll around the Sculpture Garden and admire renowned artists’ creations. Enjoy refreshments overlooking the tranquil Japanese Gardens at the Arts Centre Cafe. Nearby is the Campbelltown Visitor Centre, where maps are available for the fascinating Campbelltown Heritage Walk.

The exciting events calendar includes festivals, carnivals and heritage open days at Glenalvon House and Gilburra Estate. For two weeks every November, Campbelltown celebrates the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, a 19th century legend, with dazzling fireworks, a street parade, a carnival and a fair.

Bring your mountain bike and explore the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan’s 20km of tracks. You’ll find more trails as well as Aboriginal-guided tours in Dharawal National Park, where O’Hares Creek lookout offers great views. There are horseback adventures too, with Sugarloaf Horse Centre.
